The Purpose of Government

The first role of government is to protect the Rights of the individual by protecting them from force.

In America that also requires protecting “we the people” from force.

Force from:

  • other citizens

  • non citizens

  • corporations

  • other governments

  • your own government

Rights Refresher

  • Equality

  • Life

  • Liberty

  • Property

  • Pursuit of Happiness

  • Consent

  • Grievance

  • Rebellion

The above Rights come from God, are inalienable and outlined in The Declaration of Independence.

What is Force?

Government

Violation of Rights without:

  • consent

  • ability to complain and fight for a better solution (aka grievance and rebellion)

Examples:

  2. Inflation

Non Government

Violation of Rights or laws without consent

Examples:

  1. Murder

  2. GTA

  3. Trespassing
